It is a longer process than digital printing but produces higher quality. The machinery used for offset is very large and can take up most of a large room. Prints jobs are set up as "runs" meaning multiple jobs are grouped together to be printed together. This process is useful for mailers, distribution, multiple unit businesses - basically any job that requires a person or company to blanket a large area or focus on a large part of an areas population.
