I fought long and hard with this and found out that you need to create a php5.ini file and place this code in there.

upload_max_filesize = 65M post_max_size = 65M memory_limit = 65M

Put the php5.ini file in your root directory, give the server an hour to process and your golden.

Setting up Outlook 2003 with Godaddy email

In Microsoft Outlook, select Email Accounts from the Tools menu. hello
On the Email Accounts wizard window, select Add a new e-mail account and click Next.
For your server type, select POP3 or IMAP and click Next.
On the Internet Email Settings window, enter your information as follows:

Your Name

Enter your first and last name.

E-mail Address

Enter your email address.

User Name

Enter your email address again.

Password

Enter the password you set up for your email account.

Incoming mail server

For POP accounts, enter pop.secureserver.net for your incoming mail server, or enter imap.secureserver.net for IMAP accounts.

Outgoing Mail Server

Enter smtpout.secureserver.net for your outgoing mail server.
Click More Settings.

NOTE: smtpout.secureserver.net” is an SMTP relay server. In order to use this server to send emails, you must first activate SMTP relay on your e-mail account. Log on to your Manage Email Accounts page to set up SMTP relay. If you do not have SMTP relay set up and your Internet Service Provider (ISP) allows it, you can use the outgoing mail server for your Internet Service Provider. Contact your Internet Service Provider to get this setting.
On the Internet Email Settings window, select the Outgoing Server tab.
Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
If you did not change the SMTP relay section, select Use same settings as my incoming mail server. If you changed the user name and password in the SMTP relay section of your Manage Email Accounts page, select “Log on using” and enter the user name and password. The following example assumes you did not change your SMTP relay section in your Manage Email Accounts page.
Select the Advanced tab and change the Incoming Server port to 110 for POP accounts. For IMAP accounts use port 143 or 993 if you have SSL enabled.
Change the Outgoing Server SMTP port to 25, 587, 80 or 3535.
Click OK.
Click Next.
Click Finish.

To Set Up Microsoft Entourage 2004 to Access your Email Account

Open Microsoft Entourage.
From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
Click New.
If the Account Setup Assistant window opens, click Configure account manually.
In the Account Type section, select POP or IMAP, and then click OK.
In the Edit Account window, enter your information as follows:

Account name

Enter a name for your account. For example, My Mail, Work, or Home.

Name

Enter your first and last name.

E-mail address

Enter your email address.

Account ID

Enter your email address, again.

POP/IMAP server

For POP accounts, type pop.secureserver.net, or for IMAP accounts, type imap.secureserver.net for your incoming server.

Password

Enter the password for your email account.

SMTP server

Type smtpout.secureserver.net for your outgoing server.
Click the Click here for more advanced sending options button, under Sending Mail settings.

NOTE:“smtpout.secureserver.net” is an SMTP relay server. To use this server to send email messages, you must first log in to your Account Manager and activate SMTP relay for your email account. If you do not have SMTP relay set up and your Internet Service Provider (ISP) allows it, you can use the outgoing mail server for your Internet Service Provider. Contact your Internet Service Provider for more information.
Select Override default SMTP port and change the number to 80 under Sending Mail settings.

NOTE: For security purposes, we recommend enabling SSL. To enable SSL, select Click Here for Advanced Sending Options and select SMTP server requires secure connection (SSL). If you enabled SSL, use port 995 for your Incoming Port and port 465 for your Outgoing Port.
Click OK.

If you have trouble sending mail, try setting your Outgoing mail (SMTP) server port to 587, 25, or 3535.
Select SMTP server requires authentication and use same settings as receiving mail server, and then click OK.

Resizing Images with Outlook 6

Do you ever have to resize a large amount of images but you don’t have Photoshop? Sometimes we ask our clients to send some nice photos to the web department. Sometimes having HI RES images isn’t necessary. I have good news for you! You can do it with Outlook in Windows XP or VISTA.

This step by step tutorial will help you resize dozens of images in a matter of minutes. This makes it easy to zip and email more images at one time. Most emails struggle with 4MB emails. You won’t have to sit at the computer and spend hours learning Photoshop or using Paint to resize images.

IMPORTANT!! Make sure to back up your images.

Okay… HERE WE GO!

STEP 1:

Find the folder with the pictures that you want to resize. Make sure these are backup folders. You want to keep a copy of you Hi Res images somewhere on your computer, just in case you might need them in the future.

STEP 2:

Highlight all the images in the current folder.

STEP 3:

This step is fairly simple. Rick Click on one of the files that you highlighted. A pop up menu will appear asking for several different commands. Go to the “Send To” option. Another pop up menu will appear. Go to and click on “Mail Recipient” and then click on it.

STEP 4:

Another pop up menu will appear asking how you want to attach these images. Here you’ll have the option of resizing the images. I like to choose the smallest or at least the option with 640 x 480. This will make the files small enough to email and it will also enable you to send much more images through a disk for any future purposes.

STEP 5:

You will see your computers progress on resizing all the images in that folder. The more images you resize, the longer you’ll wait.

STEP 6:

If you have outlook installed, it should pop up with all the images set up in the email as attachments. notice in the ATTACH area I have highlighted all the images. The step is easy but can still be considered tricky. After highlighting all the attached images, you need to drag them to your folder that contains the original images. What this is going to do is overwrite all the larger images with the smaller ones that you created.

STEP 7:

You will then be asked to authorize overwritting all the images with new files with the same naming convention. Click copy and replace. If a check mark is available to allow this for all images make sure that is checked as well. That way it’ll overwrite all in one single click.

STEP 8:

There, your done! You can either email these or you can close outlooks unfinished email. Closing this will allow you to repeat this process.

Easy as pie.

Internet Explorer 7 and it’s improved security features.

Okay, I’ve been waiting for far too long to write this article. Internet Explorer 6 is not the safest way to browse the internet these days. Today Microsoft offers a user friendly interface and more secure version of Internet Explorer. It supports Web 2.0 standards far better than IE6 (Internet Explorer 6).

But I like IE6. Why should I upgrade?

Internet Explorer looks tons better. Ohhhh! Oh yes, not only does it show off a facelift, it offers improved security to match it’s stunning looks. Microsoft is pushing forward in making it’s browser safer for the every day user. You will now be better protected against malicious cookies, those cunning trojan horses or sickly computer viruses that seem to come from everywhere.

Phishing Filter

IE7 offers a new Phising Filter that will help protect you against websites that fake looking like Paypal, Myspace or your other favorite world wide web watering holes. These websites trick you into loging into them and stealing precious personal information that can sometimes tie to your online banking or social network. Not only does it tell you, but it’s address bar will change it’s color immediately to red to alert you to back away. This feature comes in very handy. I’m a myspace user and I have seen my fair share of Myspace fakes out there.

Add-ons

Some websites require add-ons such as ActiveX controls in order to properly view their content. You now have the power to enable or disable an add on when you want to.

To re-enable the add-on, click the notification. In the Manage Add-ons dialog box, click the add-on you want to enable, and then click Enable.

I love tabbed browsing and you will too.

Hey everyone! Ny name is Ron. Welcome to my Blog. I am the current Web Ninja/Guru here at Think. I’ve been an artist for about 24 years and I’ve been in the design field for about 7 years.
